Evelyn Lozada Gives Birth: ‘I’m Ecstatic And I Thank God For This Blessing!’

Evelyn Lozada, along with her fiance Carl Crawford, proudly announced the birth of their baby boy on Saturday. He weighed exactly 8 pounds and measures 21 inches long.

The latest addition to the family was born at 3:55 am after a very short, and reportedly easy labor, for Evelyn Lozada. The proud father, Los Angeles Dodger Crawford, was by her side for the duration.

In an official statement released by Lozada after the birth, she expressed her excitement:

“I’m ecstatic and I thank God for this blessing!. He is so handsome and I can’t wait to love all over my baby boy! My daughter Shaniece is so excited to be a big sister and Carl is elated! This has been the best day ever!”

Even though Lozada already has a daughter from a previous relationship, the new child is Carl Crawford’s first. He spoke to People magazine about being a first-time father: “It was very quick and Evelyn is happy because she was super nervous, Baby boy is so handsome and she can’t wait to reveal him to the world.”

Back in November of last year. Evelyn Lozada spoke to reporters about the fact she was already six months pregnant: “I’m excited about being a mommy all over again. This is something I’ve been wanting for years and I can’t believe it’s finally happening,” she said at the time.

Until around Christmas time, the identity of the lucky father was kept a secret until Lozada and Crawford got engaged. The pregnancy was celebrated earlier this year when she was the recipient of a “diamonds and diapers” themed baby shower.
