Kurt Cobain’s Death Investigation To Be Reopened

It’s not a surprise that people would be nostalgic over Kurt Cobain. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Nirvana frontman’s death. According to most reports, the official cause of death was suicide, with evidence of a suicide note which was found at the time of the singer’s death. That said there has always been naysayers that say Cobain was mysteriously murdered. Now it’s being reported that police want to reopen the investigation of Kurt Cobain’s death.

Seattle police have reopened the case concerning Cobain’s death. Law officials claim that four 35 mm film roles were recently developed last month. Officials say that seven of the images will be entered in the investigation for the first time. This is the first time Cobain’s death has been officially questioned by anyone with authority in twenty years.

As the story goes, Kurt was found in his home on April 8, 1994 with a gunshot wound to the head. The Nirvana frontman’s death was ruled as a suicide. At the time the singer was suffering from depression, and had injected a toxic dose of heroin. This of course is all according to the coroner’s report.

The suicide note found was described as a lengthy “rambling” note. He addresses the note to “Boddah”, his imaginary friend from childhood.

“To Boddah,

Speaking from the tongue of an experienced simpleton who obviously would rather be an emasculated, infantile complainee, this note should be pretty easy to understand”

In addition to his depression, Cobain also dealt with extreme stomach problems, which he referenced in the alleged suicide note.

“Thank you all from the pit of my burning, nauseous stomach for your letters and concern during the past years. I’m too much of an erratic, moody baby! I don’t have the passion anymore, and so remember, it’s better to burn out than to fade away.”

Lastly, Cobain sends his well wishes to his wife Courtney and their child Frances, who is now estranged from the Hole singer.

“Frances and Courtney, I’ll be at your alter. Please keep going Courtney, for Frances. For her life, which will be so much happier without me.”

At the time of his death Kurt Cobain was only 27-years-old. Some fans believe that Courtney Love killed Cobain and faked his suicide note, but this has not been proved to be true.

Numerous sites are up dedicated to finding the “truth” surrounding Kurt Cobain’s death. Now it looks like the police are after the same thing.
