Jared Leto thinks he looks a lot like Jesus Christ.
If you’re one of the many people who think the Dallas Buyers Club star strongly resembles the Messiah with his long hair and beard, then you’re certainly not alone. Leto recently addressed the frequent comparison with a post on Instagram. However, Jared insists that he’s not comparing himself to the Son of God.
“Fashion may go out of style but style never goes out of fashion,” Jared Leto wrote on Instagram. To keep he backlash to a bare minimum, he included the hashtag #NotComparingToChrist.

Although the award-winning actor and his fans believe he bears a striking resemblance to Jesus, his brother Shannon Leto is apparently the exact opposite. According to at least one person on Twitter, the guy looks a lot like Satan.

Of course, Jared Leto isn’t the first person to make the physical comparison. The folks over at The Independent noticed the similarities when he appeared at the Academy Awards earlier this year.
The website explained:
“Continuing to hide his youth elixir from the world, Jared Leto has debuted another stunning look at the 2014 Oscars, which didn’t look unlike that of the Messiah himself… Teamed with his usual flowing brown locks it wasn’t long before someone made a biblical comparison, with a tweet pertaining to his Jesus-esque looks quickly attracting hundreds of retweets.”
According to Marie Claire , Jared Leto fans were a little worried about the state of his long locks when he posted a pic of a much more clean-cut look on Instagram. To prove that he hadn’t taken a pair of scissors to his hair, the actor decided to share a more recent photo. In other words, take a deep breath and relax.
Naturally, the fact that Leto looks a lot like Jesus has prompted a number of folks to make fun of the actor on social media. Considering the guy is passionately adored by fans around the world, he probably doesn’t care too much about what you think about his penchant for long flowing hair and Messiah beards.
