Vanessa Hudgens Dances It Out To Beyonce’s ‘Yonce’ [Video]

Vanessa Hudgens is releasing her inner Beyonce in the studio. Unfortunately it’s not new music from the Disney star turned actress, but instead her fans get to watch her break it down with some great dance moves to Beyonce’s “Yonce.” The song is a track off of the “Crazy In Love” singer’s self-titled surprise album Beyonce.

The track itself is a commendable pick by Hudgens, as it showcases a song that not too many people have written about yet. The song, unlike “Drunk In Love,” hasn’t received criticism for its lyrics, and hasn’t been featured on regular rotation on the radio.

This isn’t the first time Vanessa Hudgens has danced to Beyonce’s “Yonce” track. Hudgens, along with four other girls, teased the video of them dancing about a month ago, but now the full video is finally here, and it’s definitely something worth checking out.

Vanessa took to her own personal Instagram to post a photo of herself with the four women in their best b-boy outfits. The caption reads:
“Dancin our hearts out and our knees off. HA @lgypsy@chelccorp@noreenthemachine thanks to @jerseyluv7 and @beyonce#partition#webekillinit.”

The girls performed Michelle “Jersey” Maniscalco’s choreography for the Beyonce inspired video, while showing off some skin and a twerk for extra measure.

Vanessa Hudgens is an avid fan of Beyonce, and this isn’t the first time we saw her shake it to the singer’s songs. Back in February, Vanessa danced with her best friend Ashley Tisdale to Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls).” Although Hudgens is focusing more on her acting career than a singing career, she proves in both videos that she hasn’t forgotten the muscle memory it takes to be an excellent dancer.

Hudgens got her big start on Disney’s High School Musical, which wound up being three feature films. After that, Vanessa focused on rebuilding her image as a gritty actress by taking on more challenging roles in films like Spring Breakers, Machete Kills, and Gimme Shelter. Her most drastic separation from her High School Musical role was in the film Gimme Shelter, where she played a runaway to a drug-addled mother.

Up next for Vanessa Hudgens is Kitchen Sink and The Great Migration starring her Spring Breakers co-star Ashley Benson and her High School Musical friend Ashley Tisdale. Of her career trajectory Hudgens said, “They send you roles that you’ve just done, but I don’t want to do the same thing twice,” she said.” I want the parts I gotta go out of my way for.”
