Battlefield 3 Runs at 720p, 30 FPS On Consoles

Just a few days ago now, EA and DICE showed over the very first Battlefield 3 console footage on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Now that we’ve had a chance to take it all in, DICE is starting to share a few more details on the console version.

Johan Andersson of DICE fame confirmed by way of Twitter over the weekend that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Battlefield 3will run at 720p. Additionally, the developer confirmed that, as was the case with all of DICE’s games, Battlefield 3 will be locked in at 30 FPS, adding that it would not be possible to fit in vehicles, effects and the general scale of the game at a 1080p resolution.
