Austin Mahone Is '75 Percent Done' With His Debut Album

Austin Mahone is almost done putting the finishing touches on his first full-length album. Fans are no doubt anxious to get their hands on the songs.

Once the "Banga Banga" singer wraps up his current tour, he intends to devote his undivided attention to the untitled record. Unfortunately for those who simply cannot wait to hear what he's put together, a release date is still very much up in the air.

According to The Daily Tribune, Austin Mahone worked with Redone, Sean Garrett, and Max Martin on the upcoming album. If you were extremely worried if the singer would ever release a proper album, then you can sleep very well tonight. Austin recently revealed that the record is just about ready to roll.

"I'm about 75 percent done and I'm still trying to get all the details right," Mahone told the publication during a recent interview.

He added, "I'm a lot older now and I'm putting out more mature singles and more mature music. I feel like my fans are growing up, and I want them to grow with me, so that's definitely a factor. It's definitely taking a lot longer than I expected, but it's going to be worth it. It's gonna be really good when it comes out."

Although Austin has kept his fans busy with a handful of singles -- he released "Mmm Yeah" featuring Pitbull not too long ago -- getting a proper record into the hands of his fans has taken a little longer than expected.

The Inquisitr reported last year that Mahone was originally shooting for a January or February release. Since those months are out the door, it's unknown when the songs will find their way out of the studio and into the light of day.

"My new album, I'm still putting it together, you know the reason why it's taking so long is because I just want to make [sure], you know, every song on there is perfect," Austin Mahone told MTV News at Z100's Jingle Ball in New York City late last year.

The singer continued, "I want my first album to just be crazy, like, 'Aw man this kid is like, this came out of nowhere, he's got an insane album,' so, I mean, I've worked with so many talented producers and so I just want to pick the right songs for it."
