Jimmy Kimmel’s Post 2014 Oscars Special Stars Pretty Much All Of Hollywood, Will We See ‘The Movie III’ Trailer?

The first promo for Jimmy Kimmel’s post-Oscars show, which will be broadcast immediately after the ceremony for the 86th Academy Awards on Sunday, has arrived and it promises to be a star-studded spectacle.

Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Chris Hemsworth and his younger brother Liam all feature in the clip, and they each give intentionally hammy and over-the-top performances for what viewers hope will be Kimmel’s third fake movie trailer.

The advert starts off with a British sounding Meryl Streep telling her son, played by the elder Hemsworth, “Son, let it go. It’s been 30 years.” However, Chris is adamant that he wants revenge and insists, “I will find him, and I will destroy him!”

We then cut to Tom Hanks, who is dressed as a monk and carrying a candle, as he heads towards a dark, dingy cell where he tells Liam Hemsworth, who is waiting inside, “He is coming for you.” However, Liam isn’t afraid, and states, “Then let him come,” which Hanks then follows with, “As you wish, my son.” You can check out the clip at the foot of the page.

Alongside, the above foursome, Kimmel is also set to be joined by Kevin Spacey, who is the show’s main guest, as well as Oscars host Ellen DeGeneres, Mandy Patinkin, Queen Latifah, Martin Scorsese, Adam Driver, Christoph Waltz, Ben Kingsley, Barkhad Abdi, Abbie Cornish, Anjelica Huston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Seth Rogen, Morgan Freeman, Andy Garcia, and Gary Oldman.

Sunday is the ninth year in a row that Kimmel has hosted an After The Oscars special, and viewers are hoping that the trailer for The Movie: Part III will premiere during the show too.

His 2012 edition featured a star-studded clip for Movie: The Movie, which starred Ed Norton as a secret agent who is getting married to Josh Brolin’s George W. Bush, a service that is officiated by Antonio Banderas.

Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston and Jeff Goldblum all featured too as Robo Warrior, a hot dog vendor and Gary Oldman’s doctor respectively. While Meryl Streep also sported a moustache and Kate Beckinsale hooked up with Chewbacca too. Plus there were further cameos from various other members of the Hollywood elite too.

In 2013, Kimmel then followed this up by creating the fake film trailer for Movie: The Movie 2V, which featured Bradley Cooper, Jessica Chastain, John Krasinski, Channing Tatum, and of course, Kimmel’s nemesis, Matt Damon, as well as a host of other Hollywood stars.
