‘Wrecking Ball’ Makes Miley Cyrus Cry During Los Angeles Performance [Video]

A performance of “Wrecking Ball” during Miley Cyrus’ concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles reportedly brought the singer to tears.

It’s no secret that the former Hannah Montana star thinks “Wrecking Ball” is an emotional tune. She said last year that shooting the music video for the track was even harder than putting it together in the studio. So it’s not altogether surprising that she broken down in tears during a recent performance.

According to Sugarscape, an evening filled with skimpy outfits and enormous flying hotdogs didn’t keep Miley Cyrus from shedding a few tears while belting out “Wrecking Ball.” As you can tell from the video below, emotions were definitely running high during the performance.

This certainly isn’t the first time Miley Cyrus wept in front of a live audience while performing the song. Hitfix reported last year that the singer belted out a tear-soaked rendition of “Wrecking Ball” during her set at the iHeartRadio music festival in September. The event took place days after she split from fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

“I couldn’t have done it without all you guys. [I know the] things I’m doing that’s getting me into trouble and it’s just me doing what my heart and soul is telling me what to do,” she told the audience.

“Wrecking Ball” isn’t the only thing making Cyrus sad these days. According to Metro, the singer tweeted about feeling down in the dumps after learning that some people weren’t exactly thrilled with the show she put together for fans.

“I don’t think people realize how much energy I put into my shows & how much their bad energy brings me down,” she wrote on the micro-blogging site.

The Inquisitr previously reported that some parents lodged complaints about the sexual content found in Cyrus’ stage show. Although she might get weepy while singing “Wrecking Ball,” there’s a ton of stuff packed in her performances that’s probably a little too risqué for younger audiences.

“Miley’s management have been flooded with complaints, mainly from parents, since her tour began last week in Canada with calls for the entire tour to be axed,” an insider told NineMSN.

The source added, “Her team, including management, record label execs and the entire tour staff including the director, costume department and choreographers — have been called for an emergency meeting as arenas across the US threaten to pull out of the show.”

Despite rumors about numerous complaints, LiveNation said venues have no intention of canceling any shows. The company said, “There is no truth whatsoever to any stories or rumors of venues pulling out of the Bangerz Tour. Miley has created a tour that’s big, spectacular, entertaining and everything you would expect from Miley Cyrus. Reviews have been amazing and most important, fans are loving the show and having a great time.”

If people keeping giving the singer a hard time, then chances are she’ll cry while performing “Wrecking Ball” well into the future.
