Kanye West has conquered the music industry, broken into the fashion world and now has his sights set on perhaps the biggest target of all — Hollywood. According to recent reports, the future Mr. Kim Kardashian is in the midst of penning a screenplay , and he is said to be collaborating with bestselling novelist Brett Easton Ellis on the work.
The Kanye West film will be, according to the reports, a big musical biopic perhaps in the vein of Ray , about Ray Charles, or Walk The Line , about Johnny Cash. Kanye West’s subject is another musician, his all-time favorite and the artist who has inspired him most in his career.

“It’s going to be based on the Yeezus album. That’s pretty much a narrative of Kanye’s life,” said a “source” who is supposed to be “close” to West. But the “Yeezus” rapper himself will not appear in the planned film, according to the source.
However, Kim Kardashian will. Apparently, with West now elbowing Kim Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, out of the picture and taking control of her career, his first mission is to make Kim Kardashian a movie star .
“They’re still working on the script,” said the source. “So it’s unclear at this point if Kim will be a major star of the movie or making a smaller cameo but her role in the movie will be pivotal.”
Brett Easton Ellis, who burst on the literary scene at the age of 21 in 1985 with his novel Less Than Zero — a plotless account of bored, stupid Los Angeles rich kids who spend their time ingesting every drug in sight at a wide variety of parties and nightclubs — said that there is no set schedule for when the Kanye West script will be finished and ready to shop around to Hollywood studios.
“It’s Kanye Land, and that’s subject to a whole other time frame,” said the author, who also wrote the novel American Psycho and the screenplay to the recent Lindsay Lohan film, The Canyons .
Kim Kardashian has appeared in three feature films , Disaster Movie , Deep In The Valley and the Tyler Perry film Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor . Despite those three roles, whether Kim Kardashian can actually act remains an open question.
Kanye West obviously is under the impression that she can, because her role in the proposed film is said to be a “very dramatic” one.
