Kevin Hart And Will Ferrell’s ‘Get Hard’ Hits Theaters Next Year

Kevin Hart is likely to continue his box-office dominance well into next year.

The comedian-turned-actor already proved his cinematic worth earlier this year with Ride Along and About Last Night. Since everyone is keen to cash in on Hart’s success, the guy is teaming up with Will Ferrell for an upcoming feature.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Hart’s Get Hard will hit the big screen on March 27, 2015. Written by Ian Roberts and Jay Martel, the film tells the story of a guy who prepares for prison by picking up a few pointers from a car wash employee.

Etan Cohen, who penned Men in Black 3 and co-wrote Tropic Thunder, makes his feature-length debut with the comedy. Cohen is also attached to Ferrell’s upcoming flick Daddy’s Home with Vince Vaughn.

While Kevin Hart is sure to lure people into theaters, he’ll face a considerable amount of competition on March 27, 2015. Cinema Blend points out that Get Hard is presently slated to square off against The Penguins of Madagascar and Elysium director Neill Blomkamp’s Chappie.

Hart definitely has a lot on his plate these days. The comedian is also attached to co-writer and director Jeremy Garelick’s The Wedding Ringer co-starring Josh Gad, Chris Rock’s Finally Famous, and the cinematic adaptation of Captain Underpants.

Although Kevin has already helped studios earn a considerable amount of money at the box office this year, he’s not quite finished yet. Think Like a Man Too, the sequel to Tim Story’s 2012 romantic comedy, arrives in theaters across the nation on June 20. Considering the first installment was a hit with moviegoers, there’s a strong possibility the sequel will earn a significant chunk of change as well.

So how much money has Kevin Hart’s movies made this year? Ride Along currently has $127.1 million in the bank worldwide, while the About Last Night remake has scraped together a modest $38 million. Not only are his recent cinematic endeavors quite popular, Kevin’s 2013 flick Let Me Explain is one of the most successful stand-up comedy films of all time.

The Inquisitr previously reported that Kevin Hart and Ice Cube are re-teaming for Ride Along 2, a project that will find the guys teaming up with Tim Story once again. Filming is expected to begin this summer, so there’s a chance the follow-up could hit screens at some point next year.
