Christina Aguilera is pregnant, expecting a baby with new fiance Matt Rutler sometime later this year.
The baby will be the second for the singer , who had a son Max with now-ex-husband Jordan Bratman in January 2008.
Aguilera had taken Season 4 off from The Voice to spend more time with family and focus on her music career, and will also be taking off Season 6. Now that Christina Aguilera is pregnant, it is unclear when or if she would return to the show.
Christina Aguilera and Matt Rutler met on the set of her 2010 movie Burlesque. After dating for three years they got engaged on Valentine’s Day .
The relationship between Rutler and Aguilera’s son Max has been a major factor in the relationship moving forward, a source told People . Rutler is said to be a consistent influence on the boy, who is now six years old.
Christina Aguilera has also spoken very highly of her beau.
“We had a really strong friendship on the movie. He’s the kind of person you could spend hours on the phone talking to and all of a sudden it’s daylight,” Aguilera said back in 2010. “There’s a love there, yes. I’m having fun, I’m dating and it’s something I haven’t had in a really long time.”
Christina Aguilera has yet to speak about the pregnancy herself, but her soon-to-be mother-in-law did speak about their plans — or lack thereof.
“I don’t know what their plans are,” Kathleen Rutler told InTouc h when asked if the couple would be moving from the West Coast anytime soon. “But when you have a baby, you’re not planning on moving anywhere anytime soon!”
The source who confirmed that Christina Aguilera is pregnant did not offer any further details about how far along she is or a possible due date.
