One Direction’s “Midnight Memories” Full of Lawbreaking?

One Direction has officially debuted their “Midnight Memories” video, but some fans are pointing out that their onscreen antics aren’t entirely legal.

“Memories,” their first single in 2014, has already reached more than 13 million hits on YouTube. It’s also a bonafide Internet sensation, with fans recently making headlines in their campaigning efforts to secure the video more views.

So what’s all the fuss about “Memories”? A few viewers have pointed out that the band goes a little too wild in their pursuit of adventure across London. Though it’s all in good fun, various sources like MTV News have pointed out several instances where “Memories” embraces a little too much madness.

Here are just a few examples of the crazy behavior employed by the UK’s most eligible bachelors:

– They climb the Tower Bridge to whoop and holler from its highest railings. Fans may call it cute, but a court of law would call it trespassing, willful endangerment and perhaps a few other things, as well.

– Trying to secure transportation for a joy ride across the Thames, the “Memories” boys steal a police boat right under the nose of an officer. Their secret weapon? Niall’s blinding smile, the source of ecstasy and heartbreak for young girls worldwide.

– After taking off into the night on their commandeered property, no one bothers to steer. The entire band is seen performing “Memories” on the upper docks. Unregistered boat thieves on a speeding watercraft that could crash unhindered into the docks at any minute? That’s definitely breaking a few laws.

– At a shawarma restaurant, Niall gets tired of waiting for his order, so the hungry singer simply leans over and takes a chunk out of the awaiting meat with his teeth.

– After Liam overindulges with a hot dish full of chili sauce, Zayn sprays him in the face with a fire extinguisher. This is perhaps the most shocking of their “Memories” exploits, because despite all the laughs inspired from his goofy, white-covered face, misuse of face hazard equipment is a serious offense all around the world. In fact, some experts say that inhaling fire extinguisher fumes can be deadly!

So there you have it, all the lawless and occasionally unsanitary acts in One Direction’s “Midnight Memories” video. While they may be one of the hottest acts in the current music industry, it seems as though someone still needs to teach the boys some manners!
