North Korea Test Fires Missile, After Cutting Off Ties With South Korea

North Korea fired a short-range missile off the countries western coast in the middle of last week reports the Yonhap News Agency.

According to their reporting Pyongyang fired a KN-06 short-range missile in an attempt to increase firing ranges for their arsenal of weapons.

The last time the country conducted such tests was in July 2009 when they fired various missiles off the east coast, angering the international community.

Over the last year 50 South Koreans have been killed as tensions continue to build and at this time South Korean officials are refusing at this time to comment on the missile tests. Last week North Korea announced that they had cut off all ties with their foes to the South and threatened to strike with military force.
