Jessica Sanchez Cancer Free, But What About American Idol Star?
Jessica Sanchez’s cancer fight is over, and the good news is she’ll be returning to work soon. And, no, she’s not the famous American Idol star… but we’ll get to that in a moment.
In a related report by The Inquisitr, the WKMG reporter became famous for shutting down a video bomber.
In March of 2013, the Sanchez from Orlando was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and underwent chemotherapy. She’s apparently recovering well and will be returning to work as a WKMG Orlando reporter next week:
“I am pleased to announce that Jessica Sanchez continues to get positive news from her doctors. Jessica tells us her oncologist reports recent tests are negative, and after a year-long battle, her cancer is gone.”
As might be expected, Sanchez is excited over the news:
“I am ecstatic. I’m out of breath. I’ve been calling everyone. Six months ago, I didn’t think I would ever feel right again. It feels so good to say I see the light again. I see normal again.”
But some people might have confused this announcement with the American Idol Jessica Sanchez. The pop star thankfully never had to fight cancer and is doing just fine. If anything she caused a different kind of commotion altogether when she posted bikini photo shots from her vacation in Boracay.

Jessica Sanchez has also been busy being back on American Idol, and she’s also appeared in the TV show Glee.
