Erin Andrews, Richard Sherman Rant Judged By Tom Brady

The infamous Erin Andrews, Richard Sherman interview has been attacked by New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

In a related story from The Inquisitr, Sherman shocked the world by telling Andrews to not open her mouth. Despite the Sherman’s team, the Seattle Seahawks, going to the Super Bowl after their win, he kept complaining about the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Fox eventually shut down the interview but Erin Andrews apparently found the whole situation amusing:

“He lost his mind and it was awesome — for once. I do think they [Fox’s producers] might have been worried about language.”

While Erin Andrews’ tweets only referred to Sherman’s rant as a “candid response,” the Seahawks player has been known in the past to use Twitter to stage some online fights. For example, in 2012 Sherman tweeted a photo of himself yelling at Tom Brady and said, “You mad, bro?” Well, Brady didn’t use Twitter but he did have some words to say about how Sherman yelled at Erin Andrews:

“I’ve watched him play. He’s that kind of guy. So, you know. I approach the game — and I have respect for my opponents. That’s the way our team always plays. We win with graciousness, and when we lose, we could do better. Some teams don’t always do that, or that’s not their program. The only way to counter that is to beat them. When you don’t win, it’s hard not to say — you just gotta shut your mouth and listen to it. Maybe when you get an opportunity down the road, maybe that’s a source of motivation. But they got a good team, they played well all year. They played well at home. And that’s why they advanced, too.”

For his part, Richard Sherman doesn’t want to be labelled as the “villain” because of the way he treated Erin Andrews during the post-game rant:

“It was loud, it was in the moment, and it was just a small part of the person I am. I don’t want to be a villain, because I’m not a villainous person…. To those who would call me a thug or worse because I show passion on a football field—don’t judge a person’s character by what they do between the lines. Judge a man by what he does off the field, what he does for his community, what he does for his family.”
