Anna Faris Makes Best And Worst Dressed Lists For Her Pants Suit [Video]
Anna Faris made a bold choice Wednesday night at the People’s Choice Awards show at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Rather than show up in a slinky dress or showing the skin that made her famous in such films as The House Bunny and What’s Your Number?, she arrived wearing a pajama-like gold-beaded pants suit.
The choice likely led some fashionistas to wonder if she was on whatever she consumed in her 2007 stoner comedy Smiley Face, in which her character is wasted throughout the whole film after inadvertently scarfing down a batch of marijuana-laced cupcakes belonging to her roommate.
But Anna Faris, a hard-working funny lady and mother of a one-year-old boy, maintained her poise throughout, presenting the award for Favorite Daytime TV Host along with Alison Janney — co-star of Anna Faris’s new CBS sitcom Mom — to Ellen Degeneres.
According to United Press International, one New Jersey newspaper fashion writer compared the Anna Faris pants suit to something “last spotted on Rue McClanahan in an early episode of Golden Girls.”
The paper, The New Jersey Star-Ledger slammed the 37-year-old Anna Faris, condeming her to a slot of shame on its “Worst Dressed” list for the evening’s awards show.
On the other hand, both Fox News and Marie Claire Magazine lauded the Anna Faris ensemble, granting the Take Me Home Tonight star a spot on each of their “Best Dressed” lists. The women’s fashion web site The Frisky ordained the Anna Faris pants suit the “chicest” pants suit of the night.
Anna Faris selected the pants suit with the help of her fashion assistants Wendi and Nicole Ferreira. The sisters enlightened E! Online as to how the star, who is on her second marriage, this one to Zero Dark Thirty actor Chris Pratt, picked out her ensemble.
“It was a Naeem Kahn look from this spring, we’ve been looking at it and I actually put it on a few of our clients and it was perfect for Anna,” Wendi told the E! site. “We actually pulled it in along with a rack full of clothes and Nicole went in the fitting with her and from the minute we had it on the rack, we were like, ‘That is the look for her.’ It was the first thing she tried on!”
But shouldn’t the sexy star flaunt her curvaceous figure on the red carpet, in the spirit of, “if you’ve got it…?” The Ferreira’s think that Anna Faris is so sexy, she doesn’t have to show off.
“She has a great figure and we all know that and she can wear what’s obvious to show that, but we love that she doesn’t have to,” the sisters said.
