Alex Trebek is the king of game shows. But now he's taking on rappers from Grandmaster Flash to the Notorious B.I.G. Twitter was blowing up Monday night with excitement over the lyrical styles of the famous Canadian, Alex Trebek.
In a category called, "It's A Rap", Trebek was challenged to recite clues in the form of hip hop lyrics from Grandmaster Flash, the Beastie Boys, Notorious B.I.G., Dr. Dre, and Public Enemy. What ensued was the awesome hip hop prowess of Alex Trebek. He even added a little of his own flair to the lyrics.
Any time a famous celebrity begins trending on twitter unexpectedly, most people think they have died. 2013 was marked by a number of celebrity death hoaxes. After suffering a heart attack in 2012, it wasn't unrealistic to think that maybe Alex Trebek had passed away. But to the delight of Jeopardy fans everywhere, the gameshow host is still around. Maybe he'll even release his own hip hop mixed tape.
My personal favorite is his version of "Nuthin But A G Thang". What's yours?
Twitter responded to Alex Trebek's spitting skils.
