Veena Malik: Bollywood Actress Celebrates Arranged Marriage To Dubai Businessman

Veena Malik spoke earlier this year about her desire to get married before the end of 2015, but apparently the Bollywood actress couldn’t wait that long.

The actress and star of the reality show Bigg Boss was married on Wednesday, an arranged marriage to Dubai businessman Asad Bashir Khan Khattak.

A small reception was held on Thursday for Veena Malik and her closest friends and family.

“Like her wedding, even her reception will be a private affair for her close friends and relatives. It will take place today evening in Dubai,” a source close to the actress said Thursday.

Veena Malik was very open about her desire to get married, saying earlier this year that after a series of failed relationships she was ready to settle down and find a husband.

The Pakistani actress said she didn’t have too many requirements, but said finding a man who shared her religion was important.

“Being independent I do agree that I take my own decision,” she said. “But belonging to Muslim religion I will surely like to get married to a Muslim.”

Veena almost had a chance to find a husband in front of thousands of viewers. She was set to star in a reality show where she weeded through 71,000 applicants to find a soul mate, but the network set to air the show, Imagine TV, shut down before production began.
