James Van Der Beek was going through some of his old movie memorabilia when he came across something that brought tears to his eyes.

It was a poster from his breakout movie Varsity Blues , one that featured the late Paul Walker alongside Van Der Beek. Two weeks after Walker’s tragic death in a car crash, James decided to share the memory with fans.

James Van Der Beek tweeted a picture of the poster along with the caption “#tbt came across this poster in a storage unit and almost cried… @paulwalker”

Walker’s death has brought a range of reactions from the actors who knew him well. Vin Diesel, who starred alongside Walker in the Fast & The Furious series, recounted how after learning of Walker’s death he immediately bought a plane ticket to see Paul’s mother.

“I thought they needed my strength, but realized when I got there and broke down before his family, that it was I who needed theirs,” Diesel wrote on Facebook last Friday. “His mother hugged me and said I am so sorry… I said sorry? You’re the mother who lost a son?… She said yes, but you lost your other half…”

James Van Der Beek had more memories to share of Paul Walker as well, getting a bit nostalgic over their Varsity Blues days together.

This is not the first time James Van Der Beek used Twitter to publicly mourn his friend Paul Walker. Immediately after Paul’s death James wrote, “Thoughts and prayers tonight are with Paul Walker’s friends and family, especially his little girl. So sad. Very heavy heart tonight.” James added that he remembered Walker as “effortlessly golden,” and that Paul had “that way about him, that thing.”
