Khloe Kardashian is allegedly on the brink of divorcing Lamar Odom after he refused to undergo treatment for his repeated drug use and bouts of infidelity.
The youngest daughter of Kris Kardashian and Robert Kardashian is now ready to end her four year marriage to the basketball star. She initially kicked him out of their home in August.
An insider told Us Weekly, “She’s filing for divorce very soon.” It’s believed that Khloe hasn’t spoken to Odom since they spent the Thanksgiving holidays apart, and she hasn’t been seen wearing her engagement ring since November 23, either.
It’s been reported that the 34-year-old’s refusal to seek help for his alcohol and drug problems is the main reason for their split. Odom continues to dabble in these substances, and last month a videotape of him intoxicated appeared online as he rapped along with a friend.
The source confirmed that it was a hard decision for Kardashian to come to, stating: “She flip-flopped several times, but she can’t imagine having kids with someone who refuses to seek help for his disease. She is saying, ‘I’m moving on’.”
Khloe won’t back down from her stance, even if the athlete is allegedly “sad” over her decision.
Khloe is prepared to let the demise of her marriage be a firm part of next season’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which is set to begin next month on the E! network.
The insider continued, “At first she was adamant about not letting E! address the situation. Then she realized it would ruin the series’ integrity not to show what she was going through. But she won’t let them air anything that will hurt Lamar too much.”
On Monday, the pair attended the same Jay-Z concert in Los Angeles, and they avoided each other throughout the night. The duo sat in completely other areas of the arena. Lamar sat in the VIP suite alongside his father, Joe, who has previously had his own troubles with substance abuse, while Khloe attended it with Malika Haqq and Nicki Minaj, who she has recently become best friends with.
On Saturday, Khloe posted a cryptic Instagram message that hinted at her woes, which read:
Dear Human: You’ve got it all wrong. You didn’t come here to master unconditional love. That is where you came from and where you’ll return.
You came here to learn personal love. Universal love. Messy love. Sweaty love. Crazy love. Broken love. Whole love. Infused with divinity. Lived through the grace of stumbling. Demonstrated through the beauty of… messing up. Often.
You didn’t come here to be perfect. You already are. You came here to be gorgeously human. Flawed and fabulous. And then to rise again into remembering,
Do you think Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom will divorce?
