Is it Chuck E. Cheese or Fight Club?
In this latest instance of Chuck E. Cheese violence, one thing is evident from the video embedded below [warning: NSFW due to language]: It’s never a good idea to spit in someone’s face.
Evidently two groups in a Michigan Chuck E. Cheese pizza restaurant weren’t getting along, and one of the participants in the melee grabbed the spitter’s hair while apparently holding a baby in her other arm. All heck breaks loose after that, with punching and kicking and tables being turned over.
The person who purportedly shot the cell phone video provided this brief description of what happened: “In the middle of me recording my son’s 4th birthday celebration at Chuck E. Cheese, I noticed two parties in a heated argument. I turned my iPod towards the action and then it went down.”
According to the Vice website, “Chuck E. Cheese’s offers some of the most entertaining bare-knuckle brawls outside of the MMA… even the Romans didn’t let the young around gladiators. At Chuck E. Cheese’s, it’s mostly the kids trying to break up the parents while doing their damndest to avoid injury, both physical and emotional.”
As The Inquisitr previously reported, a Chuck E. Cheese brawl in March involving about 20 people in Boynton Beach, Fla., ended in gunfire in the parking lot. In February, a Connecticut woman pulled a gun when she got into a dispute with another woman at Chuck E. Cheese.
Chuck E. Cheese management claims that that these are isolated incidents, and that stores have implemented security measures such as surveillance cameras, security guards, more space between tables, and other measures to minimize any conflict. “We have always taken altercations in our stores very seriously and have spent more than $15 million to date on efforts to stop incidents like these from happening,” said CEC Entertainment exec Michelle Chism.
