Jennifer Lawrence might play fearless pretty well on the big screen, but the actress recently revealed that she’s scared to death of spiders.
The star of director Francis Lawrence’s box office hit The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has a serious case of arachnophobia. In fact, the actress will burst into tears at the mere sight of an arachnid. Unfortunately for Lawrence, she happened across one of those eight-legged freaks while filming the acclaimed adventure flick.
“Everybody told me there were no spiders, so when I saw three, I started crying. Jungles are not easy when you’re afraid of everything. I think I am a legitimate alcoholic. No, what’s it called? An arachnophobic,” Jennifer Lawrence recently told the folks at MSN.
Hopefully Lawrence won’t encounter any more nasty spiders while filming the second part of Mockingjay. According to Francis Lawrence, there is still around six months worth of filming to do on the final installment of the series. However, the actress said she sometimes wishes that work would slow down a bit.
“You don’t want more than one or two movies out a year; people get sick of you. I think youth and caffeine have kept me going until now. To unwind? I do nothing other than bad TV and a couch,” the actress said.
Lawrence added, “My personal life is now ruined. I’ve had to create a new one and get used to this new life. It’s hard and it takes time, but I’m sure I will get it.”
If fans of the actress are genuinely concerned about the girl taking a break, then they really don’t have anything to worry about right now. In addition to the films she already has lined up for release, Jennifer Lawrence has plenty of projects waiting in the cinematic wings.
The Inquisitr previously reported that the Winter’s Bone star recently landed a cameo in the long-awaited sequel to the Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels comedy Dumb and Dumber. This will mark the first time Lawrence has worked on a film with the Kick-Ass 2 alum.
Lawrence aficionados currently have David O. Russell’s American Hustle, Susanne Bier’s Serena, and Bryan Singer’s superhero epic X-Men: Days of Future Past looming on the horizon. Internet Movie Database also lists The Glass Castle and East of Eden among her upcoming projects. In short: There’s plenty of stuff to keep you busy for a while.
