Jamie Dornan Is Christian Grey: ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Cast Gets New Leading Man

Jamie Dornan is the new Christian Grey. The Irish actor has landed the lead role in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie.

Charlie Hunnam was originally cast as Grey, but the Sons Of Anarchy actor dropped out last week. Producers started scrambling for a new lead and reportedly invited Dornan in to do a screen test with Dakota Johnson.

Yahoo Movies reports that the two had obvious chemistry during the steamy screen test and producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti decided to secure their new leading man.

Universal and Focus Features have not commented on the casting, but The Wrap reports that it’s a done deal.

Of course, Hunnam was also a done deal. We’ll see how long Jamie Dornan sticks around.

Hunnam said earlier this week that he left the role because he wanted to spend more time with his family. Some believe, however, that the SOA actor left the production after he was offered $125,000 for the role. It’s unclear if Dornan will be offered the same contract.

Dornan isn’t well-known in the United States, but Fifty Shades of Grey fans are still pretty excited to see him in the new movie.

Jamie Dornan only has one movie credit to his name, Marie Antoinette, but he has found steady work in recent years. He currently plays a sheriff on Once Upon A Time and a serial killer on TheFall.

Do you think Jamie Dornan will make a good Christian Grey? Are you excited for the new Fifty Shades of Grey movie?
