Pauly D had a one-night stand, and now he has a baby girl.
The Jersey Shore alum announced this week that he became a father for the first time a few months ago. The baby was born to an unnamed 26-year-old woman from New Jersey who reportedly met Pauly (Paul DelVecchio) while he was DJing in Las Vegas.
The mother filed court documents to establish Paul D as the father to her little girl, but Pauly had already taken a DNA test of his own that revealed he’s the father.
“I’m proud I’m a father,” Pauly told TMZ . “I am excited to embark on this new part of my life.”
Pauly said he didn’t have a previous relationship with the woman outside of their fling in Vegas, but “is hoping to develop a relationship” with her, a source told E! News .
“[He] wasn’t exactly planning for it to happen this way, but God works in mysterious ways,” the source said.
Pauly D can now turn to his Jersey Shore friends for some parenting advice. Fellow castmate Snooki and her husband Jionni LaValle just had a baby boy named Lorenzo, and Snooki appears smitten. She has given up her hard-partying, and instead, prefers to stay at home with her boy.
“It’s a different kind of love that I never felt before,” the 24-year-old Jersey Shore star said.
Snooki has also said she wants to expand her family, telling Ryan Seacrest that she wants to get pregnant again the night she marries Jionni.
JWoww, another Jersey Shore alum, said she was thrilled to find out that her friend was now a father.
JWoww told E! News , “I just texted him. Crying! He’s going to be the best dad ever!”
Pauly D seems pretty thrilled to be a father . On Tuesday, he re-tweeted several congratulatory messages.
