Kanye West Is “An Amazing Boyfriend, Great Dad” Says Kris Jenner

Kanye West has fans everywhere, and, admittedly, plenty of detractors. But it appears one of his biggest fans is pretty close to home.

In an interview with E!’s Ross Matthews, the TV host and mother of Kanye’s girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, Jenner absolutely gushed over the rap star, who is also the father of her granddaughter, North West.

“I love him so much,” Jenner said.

“And he’s such an amazing boyfriend to Kim and a great dad and a wonderful person.”

Kanye West had previously appeared on The Kris Jenner Show in August. The show also served as the stage for the first public pictures of baby North as a way to boost ratings.

“I thought it was so cool to have him on my show, and I got to sit down with him for an entire hour, and I think people saw this other side to him,” Jenner said.

The side of him with which most people are familiar, of course, is the one that interrupts award presentations, feuds with late night hosts and scuffles with paparazzi, seemingly a common pastime among those courting Kardashians (read: Lamar Odom). And while the “Stronger” singer has gotten some indirect, whimsical press lately from Internet celeb Marina Shifrin’s viral resignation video, it’s generally not pretty (although turning down American Idol is a step in the right direction).

“He’s creative and he’s an amazing, amazing human being, he really is. And he doesn’t always do interviews and get the chance to realy express himself like that, so I was really glad that I got a chance to sit down and talk with him,” Jenner said.

“And it made me so happy that, you know, you guys got to see the Kanye that I know at home.”
