Prince William Says Prince George To Have African Themed Nursery

Prince George will have an Afrcian themed nursery, his father, Prince William says.

The new dad is hoping to pass along his love for Africa to his firstborn. William and brother Harry went on some great trips with parents, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana.

According to the Prince, the room will be covered with rhinos and elephants and lots of bushes.

“We’ll cover it with lots of bushes and things like that. We’ll make him grow up as if he’s in the bush,” he added.

William told CNN in an interview, part of the special “Prince William’s Passion: New Father, New Hope,” that he hopes his son will one day experience the Africa he and Harry saw on their trips with their parents.

The one hour special is the first sit-down interview the Duke of Cambridge is giving after his wife Kate Middleton, gave birth to the couple’s first son George on July 22 and focuses on William’s love for Africa and his dream of saving the world’s endangered species.

Prince William also talks about how fatherhood has already changed him, a short few weeks after Prince George’s birth.

The Duke jokes about his son and calls him a “rascal”, he says he wriggles a lot at the tender age of almost one month.

He also shared that his wife Kate is the one doing the night shift, she is breastfeeding George, and he is excited about returning to work so he can get some much needed sleep.

“I think the last few weeks for me have been just a very different emotional experience, something I never thought I would feel myself,” he said. “And I find, again, it’s only been a short period, but a lot of things affect me differently now.”

Prince William special will air on CNN on Sunday, September 15 at 10 pm.
