Los Angeles police have arrested people at a Proposition 8 protest in Hollywood Wednesday evening.
Protests against the slim passing of Proposition 8, a proposal that outlaws GLBT marriages and invalidates existing marriages were held in 8 locations in California, including Hollywood and San Francisco.
Over 1000 people attended the Proposition 8 protest in Hollywood, but a small group broke away from the main protest, resulting in a “tactical alert” from LA police, that resulted in 4 arrests.
GLBT groups are still refusing to admit defeat on the proposition, claiming that some 4 million votes are yet to be counted. With 99% of districts reporting, the Yes vote remains ahead with 52% of the vote.

It is a sad day when one consenting person cannot marry the person that they love. The marriage vows state let not man or person put asunder what God has blessed. Discrimination is alive! We elect a Kenyan born to president who is allegedly african american and we vote down 8. If 8 stays down I think Obama should be deported back home to Kenya.

It is a great day when the plans of god for his children is upheld .A penis and a penis were obviously not meant to match. Nor were a vagina and a vagina. In 1964 blacks and whites couldn't marry each other either. How would the vote have turned out in the deep South if they allowed those people to vote on it. Our rights were snatched away from us and the movement was funded by a group of people that were just marrying 12 year girls just a few years ago.
A majority should not be able vote away the rights of a minority, that is why we will continue to fight! No more Mr. Nice Gay!
We have had peaceful protests long enough!

Mike .It's time to stop targeting others and relize it's not 1964.We dont want this activity out in the open to sway our offspring.Go back in the closet and stop flaunting your unusual life style. Polygamy is not rite either. But it's not just mormons ,its the majority of california voters.As californians weve paid for you initiatives more than once,stop putting more of a drain on the california economy and face the facts.If you want to site history,you must relize that through all previous time no society, not even rome, codoned gay marriage,gay unions have always been quitely hidden,maybe for the same reasons as today Mr. nice gay!

No hate here just a will to preserve the sanctity of marriage which is basically to procreate. You have a right to be gay all you want ,just not to impose your odditty on the majority,and tell our children it's normal ,which is what you are attemping to do.Adam and and Adam or Eve and Eve can't have children together. Therefore it is not marriage but just a .union.That is the bottom line .Go and riot all you want ,it is a right here, but to be married is not. Hello, sorry!

WHere to Start. Ok GOD Condemns Homosexuality. That Is a BIBLICAL FACT THAT CAN EASILY BE PROVEN if you care enough to grace the pages of the Book. The only people putting under what God has blessed are the GAYS who are putting marraige under. Second. I believe you should have equal rights as far as housing, and business/living ect. BUT Marraige is clearly defined throughout the HISTORY of our WORLD as Being Between a Man and a WOMAN. ALSO, God doesn't make mistakes, PEOPLE make Mistakes. It is a mistake to Be Homosexual, IT IS A SIN. It is your Choice to live in that Lifestyle. If you want to live in accordance to the Bible the HOLY WORD of GOD then you need to abstain from sexual relations and try to live a chaste life. OK, to the IDIOT who made the Polygamist comment towards the Mormon Church. JUST A FEW YEARS AGO, NO NO NO…….The Mormon Church BANNED Plural Marraige in the late 1800's. There are a lot of people who call themselves F LDS. FLDS is not LDS. FLDS is a small group of people in Texas who seperated and did their own thing. DONT CONFUSE the TWO. THEY ARE NOTHING ALIKE. Secondly, Do you think you are promoting Civil Rights by Becoming a BIGGOT against a small unpopular, misquoted, and misunderstood religion. It sounds to me like angry anti-8 people are singling out an EASY TARGET to try to make their case. QUOTE FOR THE DAY. Nothing Screams Civil Rights like an angry mob attacking a religion and painting Swastikas on Churches. REALLY COME ON. America is only America because people have a voice. Dont go out and bash someones voice because you dont agree with it. If it were not for your freedom of Speech you wouldnt even have the opportunity to express your gay love.
