Call of Duty: Black Ops is coming for Wii, as well

Posted: May 11, 2010

Activision has confirmed that a Wii version of Call of Duty: Black Ops will be available on November 9, alongside the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC editions.

Historically, Call of Duty Wii games haven’t been a dead cert – last year’s huge hit Modern Warfare 2, for example, didn’t appear for Nintendo’s console.

That’s always sort of baffled me, given that the Wii still shifts a ton of software and handles first-person shooter control beautifully (see: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and The Conduit … okay, I know The Conduit sucked, but the controls were excellent). I guess the extra pixels available on the HD platforms swing the vote for fans of fragging.

Anyway, Black Ops on Wii: it’s totally coming. And will probably sell in rubbish quantities, despite controlling better than the 360 and PS3 versions.
