‘Firefall’ Open Beta Announced For July


Firefall will finally have a real open beta. Game developers, Red 5 have announced that the new open beta date if July 9. The game has had a closed beta for quite a while now and while they have allowed people to join in dribs and drabs this will be the first time the title is open for anyone who wants to jump on in.

The company isn’t resting on its laurels just because they are finally going to let more people get a peak. In fact it appears that Red 5 will be working extra hard to get the game to a level that will make everyone excited once they get a good look.

Firefall will still be getting closed beta updates all the way leading up to July 9. The company actually released a sort of FAQ that details what people can expect once they get inside the game world.

The company also said that they are going to be hitting major milestones in the months leading up to July. Some of the tweaks that the game is due to get between then and now are a new UI, crafting and progression tweaks and city power level boosts.

There is also apparently going to be a melding formation tweak that will allow you to make your characters and cities that much more powerful that much quicker and in new ways.

The game has been grabbing quite a bit of attention since it was announce mainly because it looks to be an interesting take on the MMO world. It will also have a free-to-play platform which is bound to suck people in even more.

If you honestly can’t wait until July, there is still a way you can get into the closed beta. Founders Pack program will allow anyone who qualifies to get in and start experimenting with the game.
