Jerry Buss Left Condo, Bentley To Young Girlfriend

Before his death Jerry Buss, owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, wrote his much younger girlfriend Delia Cortez into his will.

A recently surfaced copy of Jerry’s will shows that he has left Delia his condo in Hawaii and his 2009 Bentley.

The estate according to the filed will is worth $5.5 million and is being overseen by Jerry’s daughter and trustee Jeanie Buss.

Delia currently lives in Hawaii where she is studying to become a veterinarian.

Delia Cortex was written into Jerry Buss’ will during an amended filing in March 2012. Other gifts were also given to Delia during the couples time together.

Buss of course is worth much more than the $5.5 million estate he left to Delia Cortez. The Laker owner purchased the team in 1979 after he and his partners turned several thousand dollars into a multi-million dollar real estate empire. Over the years, Buss would secure some of the league’s most talents athletes of all time. Among his acquisitions were Shaquille O’Neal, Magic Johnson, and Kobe Bryant. Buss also convinced Phil Jackson to join the Lakers and lead them to multiple championships.

At this time, there doesn’t seem to be any drama surrounding Jerry Buss’ decision to leave a good piece of real estate to his former girlfriend. Oftentimes we hear about family feuds over even the smaller part of a celebrities estate.

In the meantime, Delia Cortez now has a sweet ride and an awesome home to call her own. Hopefully she can afford the car insurance and property taxes; that can’t be easy on a vet students wages.
