Bret Michaels had a meltdown after he was fired by Donald Trump on All-Stars Celebrity Apprentice.
Michaels, who is best known as the singer from the 80s hairband Poison, didn’t handle his dismissal from the reality show very well.
According to Radar Online, Michaels had an absolute meltdown after Trump said his famous words: You’re Fired.
A source said:
“Bret was crying and totally distraught after he was fired… Bret totally went into the show believing he was going to win again… He couldn’t believe it that he was let go so quickly. It was brutal to watch him freaking out the way he did.”
The Hollywood Reporter notes that Michaels initially thought that Trump was joking when he got fired.
“I thought they were punking me. I looked around to see what they were talking about.”
So why was Michaels fired? Well, it depends on who you ask.
Trump said that it was a mistake for Michaels to come back as a contestant instead of a boardroom adviser like Piers Morgan did. Trump also said that he couldn’t justify keeping Michaels on the show because the rockstar’s funding efforts weren’t on par with his competitors.
Michaels, on the other hand, said that he was fired because he partnered up with Omarosa.
“She is known as evil incarnate on TV… I figured, if I embraced it and unleashed her on the other team, we would win this hands down until we had to fight each other. That grenade blew up in my hand.”
Here’s the video of Donald Trump firing Bret Michaels.
Bret handled his firing well while on the TV show but a Radar Online source says that once the cameras were up Michaels had a complete meltdown.
The source adds:
“It was a mess when Bret was told the news and filming was done… He couldn’t stop crying and even the producers were trying to comfort him. No one expected him to have a meltdown like that.”
Are you surprised that Bret Michaels was so broken up about being fired from The Celebrity Apprentice?
Bret may be done on Celebrity Apprentice but he’ll soon be back on reality TV. He is currently getting ready for the premiere of a new Travel Channel show, Rock My RV.
