‘Heroes’ Actress Tawny Cypress Sued By Ex-Husband After Fight With Boyfriend [Photo]

Heroes actress Tawny Cypress is being sued by her ex-husband, Bill Charles.

Charles said that Cypress had him intentionally set up to be beaten up by her boyfriend, Tom Dillon. Charles then claimed that Cypress framed him for assault at Cheeburger Cheeburger in Park Slope, according to the New York Post.

Cypress had invited Charles to the burger place to see their son, Dexter, on June 6. Dillon was “lying in waiting” and attacked Charles with a “hard object.” Charles was knocked to the ground and suffered a concussion.

Cypress and Dillon allegedly then fabricated a story that ended with Charles spending six nights in jail on assault charges.

Charles’ attorney Robert Feldman said, “The relatively minor charges against my client are merely a distraction from the attempted murder that Thomas Dillon committed against my client.”

Feldman then added that Dillon hit Charles with a cellphone “extremely hard causing physical injuries.”

Cypress and Charles were married for four years, from 2000 to 2004. During that time, Cypress appeared on the crime drama Third Watch as A.D.A. Sharon Burns. Two years after their divorce, she appeared on Heroes as Simone Deveaux, an art dealer.

Cypress most recently appeared on an episode of the Good Wife.

Cypress’ situation is similar to that of Halle Berry, whose ex, Gabriel Aubry, was involved in a fight with her current boyfriend, Olivier Martinez. In that situation, Aubry was found to be the instigator, but no charges were filed against him.

Neither Cypress nor Dillon have commented on the fight or lawsuit.
