Kanye West Insists He’s Not Crazy, Ye’s ‘Just Not Satisfied’
Rapper Kanye West is an eccentric fellow, but don’t call him crazy. According to Yeezy, he’s just “not satisfied,” whatever that means.
USA Today reports that during his Saturday night concert at Atlantic City’s Revel Resort & Casino, West took to the soapbox to set straight a few assumptions about his often-controversial media persona. After a performance of “Clique,” West went on a rant about the media, and apparently isn’t terribly taken with our coverage of him.
“They’ll try to tell you Kanye’s so crazy, so deranged. … I ain’t crazy, I’m just not satisfied,” West declared.
West also talked about the numerous death threats he has received on Twitter, and why he cancelled his tour with Lady Gaga. He addressed the criticism he has received over his women’s fashion line, and his latest snubbing from all of the major categories in this year’s Grammys. He did receive six nominations, but announced that he won’t be attending the awards show, which takes place in February.
Kanye’s rant might have been a partial rebuttal to media coverage of his Friday night concert, during which he wore a series of strange masks, one of which made Ye look like a fabulous Yeti. “Needless to say, it was relatively normal night for the hip hopper,” joked E! Online.
Kanye performs his final concert in his three-day run in Atlantic City tonight.
Girlfriend Kim Kardashian also ripped on the media recently, taking aim at continuous rumors involving Kris Jenner and her possible divorce from de facto Kardashian patriarch, Bruce Jenner:
“It was funny how everyone made a big deal about Bruce and my mom not sitting together, saying it was fueling these ridiculous divorce rumors,” Kim quipped. “Well I got four court-side seats, so Kanye and I obviously sat in two of them and then we wanted Khloé up front too, since it’s her husband playing, and [then] mom joined us too.”
Fair enough, but we still think that Kanye West is a little nuts. Maybe it’s just that he’s the easiest media target of all time. Of all time, y’all!
