Nicolas Cage’s father, August Coppola, has died of a heart attack at the age of 75.

Coppola is the brother of famous filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. He was a professor of literature at San Francisco State University, as well as dean of creative arts. OK Magazine outlined Coppola’s many relatives in show business:

Nicolas’ paternal grandparents were composer Carmine Coppola and actress Italia Pennino.

Through his father, Nicolas is the nephew of director Francis Ford Coppola and actress Talia Shire. He is the cousin of directors Roman Coppola and Sofia Coppola, late film producer Gian-Carlo Coppola and actors Robert Carmine and Jason Schwartzman.

In addition to Nicolas, August Coppola is survived by sons Christopher and March and three grandchildren.
