Nicki Minaj Sparks Pregnancy Rumors With Baby Emoji Tweet, Fans Think Nas Could Be The Father

Nicki Minaj sure knows how to send her fans into a frenzy. The voluptuous rapper recently sparked pregnancy rumors after sharing a cryptic tweet, causing an uproar among her fans.

On Monday night, the “Super Bass” singer took to Twitter and posted a simple yet confusing tweet — a baby emoji. Minaj, who currently has 21 million followers on Twitter, nearly broke the internet as fans bombarded her with questions about the mysterious baby emoji.

Many assume that Nicki’s tweet is a subtle hint that she is expecting her first child. Apparently, diehard fans of the 34-year-old Trinidad and Tobago native believe that the baby emoji tweet means a baby is on the way for Nicki.

Adding hype to speculations is the fact that Nicki has yet to deny any of it. In fact, the “Bang Bang” rapper seemed to love the drama and attention as she reportedly “liked” some of her fans’ responses about the rumored pregnancy.

With Minaj playing along with the rumors, many are curious as to who could be the father of her baby — if she is indeed pregnant. Interestingly, fans of the brunette beauty think that Nas could be the perfect baby daddy for the rapper, especially since he was the last guy she officially dated.

However, the idea might be a bit far-fetched at the moment since the two have reportedly parted ways earlier this month.

It can be recalled that in May, Nicki dropped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show and revealed that she was dating Nas, but pointed out that their “adult sleepover” didn’t involve anything sexual because she’s currently trying to be “celibate.”

“I’m chillin’ right now. I’m celibate. I wanted to go a year without dating any man. I hate men. But, I might make an exception to the rule for him.”

While the majority of Minaj’s followers think she is hinting pregnancy on her baby emoji tweet, others assume that it was just a mere promotion of DJ Khaled’s album called Grateful, which features a photo of his seven-month-old son Asahd on the cover. Nicki and Dj Khaled also collaborated on a song recently.

Another theory suggests that Minaj is teasing an upcoming album, adding that she would be “giving birth” to some new tracks soon.

There were also claims that Nicki was just playing a joke all along. After all, the rapper is no stranger to trolling her fans. In February, Nicki shared a photoshopped pregnant image of herself, just in time after Beyonce made her famous baby announcement.

Although the rapper has yet to confirm the pregnancy rumors, sources revealed that Nicki is “definitely not pregnant.” However, they clarified that Minaj is keen on having her own kids soon.

Apparently, the “No Frauds” singer had a chance to hold a friend’s new baby and was instantly struck with baby fever. There were also claims that Minaj is considering to have Nas as the father of her child, adding that the rapper “can’t think of anyone else right now she’d rather share a child with.”

It is worth noting though that Nicki has yet to confirm nor deny such claims so it’s best to take it all with a pinch of salt.
