Shannen Doherty: 911 Call Audio Leaked Online

Audio from the 911 call Shannen Doherty placed after a suicidal fan made threatening comments on Twitter has found its way online, according to the Daily Mail.

The actress was confronted with the unnerving situation when a 27-year-old fan posted some unsettling messages about suicide on the micro-bloggering website in November. Concerned the individual was serious about the threats, Doherty picked up the phone and placed a call to 911.

A little under a month later, the folks at TMZ got their hands on the audio from the 90210 star’s exchange with police.

“This is going to sound incredibly strange, as it does to me as well. My name is Shannen Doherty and I’m an actress. I’m on Twitter, sadly, and there is a girl that is threatening to shoot herself and she lives somewhere over there,” the actress explained.

As The Inquisitr previously reported, Shannen Doherty eventually convinced the woman to provide her address. The actress then turned this information over to authorities.

Doherty explained that she felt she was being “held hostage” by the woman’s threats:

“My security guys told me to block her because she is super aggressive and was very erratic – so they wanted me to block her — but I haven’t done it because I felt bad for her to be honest. But at the same time I’m now sitting her freaking out, being held hostage and I can’t do anything.”

Officers paid a visit to the suicidal fan’s home shortly after the call was placed. Following a conversation with the woman and her family, police determined the Twitter user wasn’t a threat to herself or her family. The fan also refused any sort of medical treatment at the time.

“Thank you to the Westampton police department for being diligent and so reassuring,” the actress tweeted once everything had calmed down.
