Farrah Abraham Confirms Whether Or Not She’s Engaged To Simon Saran, Reveals She’s Starring On A New Show
Farrah Abraham and Simon Saran sparked rumors of an engagement during their trip to Jamaica for the Teen Mom OG star’s 26th birthday. However, according to the reality star, they aren’t even dating.
Although Abraham and Saran appear to be in the midst of romance and even enjoyed a couples dinner on the beach in Jamaica, which many thought was the perfect setting for a proposal, Abraham insisted during a new interview that they are not currently involved in a relationship.
“We’re not together,” Farrah Abraham explained to Us Weekly magazine on June 5. “I think people just got confused by me celebrating my birthday also in Jamaica which, oh well, I had a romantic dinner! B***hes were jealous!”
Farrah Abraham told the magazine that their breakup, which happened earlier this year during filming on the second half of Teen Mom OG Season 6, was a “clean break” and added that they’d remained friends in the weeks since.
“We can be cordial and friends – it’s because I keep it like that and that my daughter really wants that around,” she explained of her eight-year-old daughter, Sophia.
Farrah Abraham’s relationship with Simon Saran has been one of her main storylines on Teen Mom OG for the past couple of seasons, and at one point, Abraham was seen purchasing her own engagement ring in hopes of having Saran propose and reimburse her for the bling.
Farrah Abraham spoke to Us Weekly during her birthday bash on Saturday at New York City’s Beautique, and also during the party, her mother, Debra Danielson, confirmed that she did not think Saran was a good fit for her reality star daughter. Danielson also claimed Saran had just one of the 10 qualities Abraham was looking for in a partner.
Farrah Abraham went on to explain that she’s hoping to find love once and for all on her upcoming project, Love Socially.
“I hope I find [love] this summer,” Abraham said. “The new show is called Love Socially. It’s based with MTV UK and International, so a division of Teen Mom. [It will be filmed] in Australia, London and four other countries with four other celebrities.”
Farrah Abraham has appeared on several reality television shows, including 16 & Pregnant, Teen Mom, Teen Mom OG, Celebrity Big Brother, and Couples Therapy.
Farrah Abraham hasn’t had much luck in love in recent years. As fans may recall, the reality star has endured numerous failed relationships in recent years, and when it comes to her ongoing relationship with Saran, things appear to have finally come to an end.
Farrah Abraham also claimed she was single during an interview with OK! Magazine prior to her trip to Jamaica with Saran.
“I honestly have just dedicated myself to being single for a while,” Farrah Abraham revealed to OK! Magazine earlier this year. “I think Simon and I are hopefully working towards bettering our friendship and having better communication in that way. I don’t feel I need a relationship right now and I think it’s good for both of us.”
“I think Simon always brings up the engagement and always brings up getting back together and those things,” she continued. “I, again, have just made the choice to stay single and focus my energy a bit differently. I think Simon has had enough of my time.”
