Farrah Abraham Weighs In On Amber Portwood And Matt Baier’s Alleged Split, Reignites ‘Teen Mom OG’ Feud?
Farrah Abraham has thrown her two cents into the ongoing drama surrounding the troubled relationship of her Teen Mom OG co-stars, Amber Portwood and Matt Baier.
While the current status of the couple’s relationship is a bit unclear, Abraham recently spoke out about their up and down relationship and noted that she wasn’t surprised to hear that Portwood and Baier may have called off their engagement after a failed lie detector test.
According to a report by the Hollywood Gossip on May 22, Farrah Abraham was asked for her thoughts on Portwood and Baier’s possible split and claimed she didn’t have much to say.
“Not surprised,” Farrah Abraham told a curious fan on social media.
Farrah Abraham and Amber Portwood have had a long-standing feud with one another, and during last year’s taping of the Teen Mom OG Season 6A reunion special, their drama came to blows after Abraham agreed with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Simon Saran, and claimed Matt Baier looked like a pedophile. Before filming, Saran accused Baier of looking like a pedophile, and although he was about to apologize for the comment, Abraham interjected and the drama between her and her co-stars quickly turned violent.
As Teen Mom OG fans may recall, Amber Portwood stormed the stage and went for Farrah Abraham as Abraham’s father, Michael, attempted to defend his daughter.
Despite their reunion drama, Amber Portwood and Matt Baier allegedly offered a wedding invite to Farrah Abraham, and in March, Simon Saran poked fun at the then-upcoming event.
“I haven’t been to a circus in a while, it could be fun!” he told Radar Online.
Radar Online went on to reveal that Simon Saran had slammed Amber Portwood and Matt Baier numerous times on his Snapchat account during Teen Mom OG Season 6A.
“All of a sudden everyone is buying a house,” he told his listeners after learning that the couple was hunting for a new home. “Everyone got their MTV bonuses and got no jobs! You actually need to have a job and do something with your life to have an office Matt!”
A short time later, Farrah Abraham confirmed she wanted nothing to do with Portwood and Baier’s nuptials.
“They lie and they need to stop using me to get attention for their wedding and book,” Farrah Abraham told Radar Online. “I want nothing to do with their criminal behavior or lying evil groups of people they associate with.”
“I’m happy both the scam artists can be a happily married criminal couple!”
One month after Farrah Abraham shot down Amber Portwood’s alleged wedding invite, Portwood spoke to People magazine and suggested Abraham was never “quite” invited. Although Portwood didn’t explain what exactly she meant when she said that Abraham and Saran weren’t quite invited, she told the magazine that Abraham simply wasn’t someone whom she wanted to attach herself to. She also said that she didn’t care that Farrah Abraham wouldn’t be in attendance at her wedding.
“I do not want kids today who are watching the show to think that that is a strong woman,” Portwood continued. “That is not a strong woman. That is a hateful woman. That is not what you want to be like.”
“She’s trying to be something that she’s not,” Portwood added.
