‘Teen Mom OG’ Amber Portwood Reportedly Dumped Matt Baier After Exposing More Of His Lies
Amber Portwood’s relationship with Matt Baier might be over for good. The Teen Mom OG star allegedly dumped Baier in the midst of his shocking cheating scandal. What provoked Portwood to finally call off their romance?
An insider revealed to Radar Online that Baier bombed a lie detector test in front of the cameras. The reality star was asked about the cheating rumors and didn’t pass the test. Even worse, he agreed to perform the test with a camera crew in the room, which means it will all be featured on the new season of Teen Mom OG.
Baier has been the subject of numerous cheating rumors over the past few years. Despite all the reports, Portwood stood by her man and even planned on marrying him this year. The failed test, however, was the final straw in their relationship.
“She is saying it’s over,” the insider revealed. “But they could get back together. They’ve gone through lots of ups and downs.”
Baier is believed to have around ten children with at least six women over the years. Five of his former girlfriends have sued him for child support, though all of the cases fell through. While it sounds like Portwood and Baier are done for good, another source claims that Baier actually passed the lie detector test.
“He didn’t fail the lie detector test,” the insider noted. “He took it voluntarily. Amid all of the cheating rumors, which got disproven, Amber told him to take the test. He did it on film, so no one could say it wasn’t true. They asked, ‘Have you ever cheated with another woman,’ ‘Have you had inappropriate conversations with another woman,’ and he passed.”
The breakup rumors first surfaced after Amber Portwood’s interview with Dr. Drew Pinsky’s wife, Susan Pinsky. Portwood told Susan that she and Baier were going to exchange vows in October but “things have happened” and the wedding was put on hold. Portwood added that Baier “messed up,” though she didn’t reveal exactly what he did.
“We were engaged for a couple of years, we had a venue set up for October 13th and everything, let’s just say some things have happened just in the last couple of days,” Portwood shared.
The Teen Mom OG star has removed most of Baier’s photos from her social media accounts. The last photo of them together was almost three months ago. In addition to the cheating scandal, Baier reportedly tried to get with Jenelle Evans and Farrah Abraham before committing to Portwood.
Although it sounds like Portwood is finally done with Baier, The Hollywood Gossip reports that they are still together. In fact, Portwood recently revealed that they haven’t broken up yet, so it sounds like they just called the wedding off until they sort out their differences. In a recent Teen Mom preview, Portwood was featured shopping for wedding dresses, though filming for the scene occurred around three months ago.
According to Wet Paint, Portwood’s wedding dress shopping was an emotional affair. After trying on a gown and tiara, one of her friends asks her if the wedding is becoming a reality. Portwood simply nods and can’t hold back the tears.
“Get me out of this,” she responds. “Get me out of this now.”
With their wedding is now off, it might be a while before Portwood finds herself trying on more dresses. Of course, given Baier’s shady past, calling off the wedding was probably the smartest thing Portwood could have done. Fans can only hope things end well for Portwood and she doesn’t get into a relationship with someone who cheats on her.
