Lindsay Lohan Receives $100K From Charlie Sheen

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly received $100,000 from former Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen to help ease the actress’ tax debt, according to The Huffington Post.

Why would the Anger Management star and media troublemaker decide to cut Lindsay Lohan a check for $100,000? Apparently the actor donated the money out of the goodness of his heart. Given that both individuals are frequently the center of celebrity gossip, perhaps Sheen felt a kinship with the troubled actress.

According to TMZ, Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan reportedly developed a close friendship on the set of the upcoming comedy Scary Movie 5. Since both have a penchant for landing in trouble on a regular basis, the pair became fast friends.

During their time together, Lohan allegedly dished on her many woes to Sheen. When Lindsay revealed that she owed quite a bit of money to the IRS — sources say she owes upwards of $230,000 to the government — Sheen offered to cut the embattled actress a check.

Last week, the Hot Shots actor made good on the offer. Sources told the celebrity gossip website that Sheen sent Lohan’s camp a check for $100,000. The money was extended to the actress so she could get the IRS off her back while she attempted to gather the rest of the required cash.

According to The Stir, Lohan was shocked that Sheen had come through with the money. Sources explained that the actress was “blown away by Charlie’s generosity — and immediately applied the money to her outstanding tax bill.”

It remains to be seen if the $100,000 was just a bit of help from a compassionate friend or the beginning of something else entirely.
