Kevin Clash, The Voice Of Elmo, Sued Again For Having Sex With Minor

It’s been a sad couple of weeks on Sesame Street. Kevin Clash, the voice of Elmo, was accused earlier this month of having sex with an underage boy. The accuser eventually recanted his story but Clash still decided that it was best to resign from his position on the famous kid program. But Clash’s troubles aren’t over yet. A second man has filed a lawsuit against the voice of Elmo for having sex with a minor.

According to TMZ, Cecil Singleton filed a lawsuit today against Clash.

Singleton, now in his 30s, claims that he met Clash on a gay phone chat line in the early 90s. Singleton, who was 15-years-old at the time, claims that “[Clash] trolled gay telephone chat line rooms to meet and have sex with underage boys. (Clash was) preying on teenage boys to satisfy his depraved sexual interests.”

Singleton filed the lawsuit this week in New York and is asking for $5 million.

The new accuser states this his alleged sexual encounter with Clash may have occurred nearly 20 years ago but he only realized the mental and emotional damage it caused this year.

The lawsuit reads:

“(Singleton) did not become aware that he had suffered adverse psychological and emotional effects from Kevin Clash’s sexual acts and conduct until 2012.”

What do you think about the new lawsuit?

The fact that Singleton didn’t realize the emotional damage of his alleged sexual encounter with Clash until this year makes his lawsuit look like a money grab. However, if Clash is really guilty of trolling gay chat lines for young boys, Singleton may be the first (second) of many abused boys to step forward.
