Miranda Lambert Not A Loss For Blake Shelton? Anderson East Relationship Reminded Him Of The Drama

There were reports that Miranda Lambert and Anderson East had already split up after dating for barely a year, whereas her ex-husband Blake Shelton remains in a happy relationship with his girlfriend Gwen Stefani. Instead of showing sympathy to his ex-wife, The Voice coach seems to feel sorry more for the rhythm and blues artist for going through what he experienced before.

“Blake is the nicest guy in Hollywood, and he’s more relieved than ever that he’s no longer with Miranda,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com. “He has been hearing the stories about Miranda’s latest relationship with Anderson East, and it reminded him of all the drama that surrounded him when he was with her.”

There were speculations that Lambert cheated on Shelton when they were still married which led to their divorce on July 20, 2015. The 40-year-old musician reportedly penned what he had gone through – and it can be heard from his song “Came Here To Forget” which is a track from his new album If I’m Honest.

“It’s obvious it’s about Miranda, who was rumored to have cheated,” an insider tells InTouch. “It tells the story of how Blake and Gwen found comfort in each other’s arms after both of their marriages imploded last year. It makes it clear he feels wronged by Lambert and that it was her fault the marriage fell apart. And he’s letting the world know it.”

The country crooner didn’t write the song, but he can definitely relate to it, according to one of the songwriters. The lyrics reflected the recent events in his life. It talked about two people being on a rebound and seeking comfort from each other after their exes did them wrong. Stefani’s ex-husband Gavin Rossdale cheated on her with their former nanny, but it is still not clear if Lambert really did cheat on Shelton.

Another track on his album called “She’s Got a Way With Words” talks about a lover who cheated and lied. The country superstar didn’t write the song, but he told Billboard that he won’t stop anyone from believing that it describes some of the facts of his divorce.

“When we recorded the vocals for some of these songs, I was only six months removed from when all the crap went down,” Shelton said. “When you have a broken heart — at least, when I do — you got to get it out of your system. You want people to sympathize with you. I was at rock bottom, in the middle of hell.”

Thankfully, Gwen was there to comfort Blake maybe because she can also feel his pain. According to the Nashville-born musician, their friendship started with them checking on each other out and asking for any updates on their relationship with their respective partners. He also revealed how she first approached him.

“I thought it was going to be another one of those things-are-going-to-be-OK talks,” he recalled. “She didn’t tell me much, because we didn’t know each other at the time, but she said, ‘I’m going through something very similar to what you’re going through. I understand. And I hate it.’ That’s kind of how our friendship and bond started, that day.”

After more than a year from the time that Shelton got divorced from Lambert, he seems happier now with his new relationship. He probably felt relieved that he doesn’t have to go through all the drama that East is facing now. According to Hollywood Life, a tabloid reported that the blonde beauty is still into her ex-husband that’s why Anderson dumped Miranda.

“He got angry and called her out on it. Unfortunately, I get the feeling Miranda will always be obsessed with Blake, to the point of it wreaking havoc on any other relationship,” an insider said.
