Synopsis: A Christmas Wedding Date on Lifetime Television

Rebecca is a big shot on Wall Street, where she is used to sealing the deal. Now, she has to go back to her home town to attend her friend Allison’s wedding. She dreads it of course. Rebecca isn’t particularly close with her mother, and worse, she isn’t coming with a date.

Once she arrives in town, Rebecca sees all the old classmates at the wedding, including her ex-boyfriend. Upon seeing each other, she remembers all too well why it didn’t work out. But despite the awkward reunion, she tries to make the best of it.

Meanwhile, Rebecca’s mom, Shirley, is spending all of her time at the diner with those who don’t have anyone with whom to celebrate the holidays. Shirley knows exactly what this is like since her daughter has spent the last decade neglecting her.

This time Rebecca wants to do better. A life changing moment is about to happen to Rebecca when she meets a friendly cab driver, who gives her a magical Christmas ornament. Soon, she begins seeing that the ornament is working wonders in her life in many ways.

Finally, Christmas Eve is upon them, and Rebecca attends Allison’s wedding and is set to return home. But something strange happens. Every time, she attempts to go back home, she wakes up to find that Christmas Eve has started over again.

Like being stuck in some sort of time warp, Rebecca is sure that she has already attended her friend’s wedding, and she is sure that she has engaged in other activities that seem to be repeating themselves.

Soon, it dawns on Rebecca that her day is starting over for a reason — to give her the chance to break away from the hustle and bustle of life in the city and to learn to soak up the moment and allow new experiences, such as a blossoming romance with someone special.
