Is ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Stassi Schroeder Hooking Up With ‘Bachelorette’ Bad Boy Chad Johnson?

Is Stassi Schroeder dating someone new? Following her breakup with Patrick Meagher last summer, the Vanderpump Rules star has been texting former Bachelorette villain Chad Johnson. Is a romance in the works?

Enstarz is reporting that Johnson responded to a message on Schroeder’s Twitter page last week.

“Pretty sure my beautiful texts should have invigorated your belief in higher powers,” he wrote.

It didn’t take long for Schroeder to reply, although it doesn’t sound like she appreciated the comment.

“Let’s be honest. All your texts did was invigorate my belief in bath salts,” she shared.

Schroeder broke up with Meagher last July. Shortly after the split, Schroeder discussed the end of the relationship on her podcast, Straight Up With Stassi.

“This is a whole different type of break-up,” the reality star explained. “It’s like a whole different type of thing. I didn’t lose any feelings for him. None of that changed. It’s just, like, I can’t handle this. Like, you don’t fit into my life. You don’t try to fit into my life enough, and we keep fighting, and I can’t handle breaking up all the time.”

She continued, “Normally, when we’ve broken up, I don’t get that upset because I feel like it’s going to be OK, you know what I mean? I don’t feel that way. I’m trying to be an independent, strong, 28-year-old woman who doesn’t want to settle for this weird pattern. And it’s not about settling for him. He’s a wonderful man. Nobody would be settling by being with him. It’s settling for the way that we are together. I can’t settle for that.”

The breakup took a toll on Schroeder, but she’s trying her best to move forward. In fact, Bravo TV reports that she recently agreed to say “yes” to everything after being challenged by fellow Vanderpump Rules friend, Kristen Doute.

“Kristen runs my dating apps. Like I don’t like it. It’s not my thing,” she admitted. “I helped with your dating app and now you’re helping me with mine.”

Schroeder has come across a few celebrities in her search for a new boyfriend, though “[Kristen] swiped right of all the celebrities that I would never [date].”

Despite the early hiccups, Schroeder is open to new opportunities.

“I’m not picky. I do like tall, just taller than me,” she noted. “There should be a little bit of manscaping.”

She didn’t divulge anything about a possible romance with Johnson. Yet, according to People, Schroeder is back in the dating game and having a lot of fun mingling.

“I mean, I’m dating,” she explained to the outlet. “[Being single] has been a lot of fun. I’ve had a really good time. I’m like actively trying not to do what I normally do, which is jump right into a relationship.”

In addition to dating new men, Schroeder has enjoyed the process of living on her own. Not only is she jumping at any and all the opportunities thrown her way, but she’s also learning a lot about herself.

“I actually didn’t know how independent I was, and that’s been really cool [to discover],” she stated. “When you’re just alone all the time, you really do learn that you can handle s**t.”

For his part, Johnson has not shied away from his bad boy image. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the former Bachelorette star continues to bash people on social media. Perhaps Schroeder was right about the bath salts?

“Nick Viall is gonna turn away all the crazy b**ches because he doesn’t want bad press,” Johnson recently shared. “And I’m gonna love it cuz that’s my specialty.”
