Has Orlando Bloom dumped Katy Perry over fears their relationship was quickly approaching wedding and baby talk?

According to a new report via In Touch, as cited by Gossip Cop, Orlando couldn’t move forward with the relationship, having only dated the singer since February, allegedly telling his close pals that Katy was pushing for children and marriage — two things the actor wasn’t ready for.

Orlando already shares a child with supermodel Miranda Kerr, so starting a family isn’t the issue at hand. In fact, Orlando Bloom can see himself marrying Katy, but at this given time, there’s no way that Bloom would want to even think about having another child, for reasons the source fails to mention.

“Not long after Halloween, Orlando confessed to pals that he’d decided to end their relationship,” the outlet clearly states, as cited by Gossip Cop, who firmly denies the report. “He claimed that he’s just not ready to get married and have babies.”

“He has a young son with his ex-wife and is in no hurry to have more children. So he put the brakes on Katy’s suggestion real fast. He told her point-blank that it’s not something he’s willing to do at this point in his life.”

The news outlet gives the impression that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were on two different pages: Perry seems to have wanted to move forward and start a family while Bloom just wanted a relationship with someone he shared a great bond with.

But just having a bond and being a girlfriend didn’t seem to be enough for Katy, who has never been shy about mentioning the fact that she definitely wants to have children of her own and get married one day.

A source makes it known that Katy and Orlando are no longer together. Their split has deeply affected the singer — to the point where she recently had to cancel a performance in China. She’s deeply affected by the split because she convinced herself into thinking that Orlando would be the one she would settle down with, the insider mentions.

“She’s at her lowest point right now. She thought this was the real deal. She’s heartbroken. She said they were on different life paths and as much as she likes him, it’s time to move on.”

News of Katy Perry’s alleged split from Orlando Bloom comes just weeks after it was confirmed that the singer was close to finishing up her forthcoming album, which reports initially expected to be released this year.

Perry is said to have delayed the album for a release in 2017, and now that she and Orlando Bloom are said to have gone their separate ways, chances are that she’ll still find the time to pen a song or two about her heartache before she turns in the record later this year.

In Touch concludes by stressing that there’s still hope for the twosome and a possible reconciliation in the near future, but for right now, it seems as if Orlando and Katy are both better off being apart from one another. Especially since neither of them is interested in moving forward with their relationship unless they both get what they want, which currently stand to be two completely different things.

E! Online also confirms that Orlando Bloom and Katy spent Thanksgiving together, subsequently shutting down claims that they had split up.
