Rita Ora’s New Album Is Coming: Singer Plays Snippet To Prove It

Rita Ora’s new album is coming. The singer has been focused on her modeling and acting projects since she took a backseat from the music scene. Fans have been impatiently waiting for the follow-up to her 2012 album, Ora. The British pop star and triple threat has confirmed that her forthcoming album is coming – and she has the snippet to prove it.

The singer made an appearance on BBC Radio 1’s The Breakfast Show with friend and former X Factor UK co-star Nick Grimshaw on early Thursday morning. Ora opened up about her highly-anticipated sophomore release, as reported via AceShowbiz.com.

“I’m most excited about this record. I’ve been working on it for nearly two years … I’ve just been in a really crazy musical state, now to be in a really comfortable environment and growing up in my own skin, to put music out and write my own things.”

The 25-year-old singer even posed for photos with the radio personality after their interview. In the photos seen below, Ora rocks some fierce cleavage in a white button-down blouse with her black bra peeking out. She and Grimshaw are also matching with their dark shades.

“You know I’ve really used a lot of live instrumentation, and I’ve written everything on my record,” she added. “It’s just a very organic, authentic album. Yeah, I’m really excited.”

Nick then said that he couldn’t wait to hear her new album.

“Wait, I’m just going to play a little second of it,” Rita said. She then played a new snippet of one of her new songs from her phone. Listen in the tweet below.

“Ok that’s it,” she teased. “I’m not even allowed to do that. My label is probably going to call me in five seconds.”

Back in September, Ora told the Evening Standard that her second album was almost done and it’s on its way.

“I’m desperate to get my music out,” she said. “I think I’m now at a point in my life where I have a new amazing label, we really have taken it to the next level. It’s very song-based. It’s very real — real instruments, believable lyrics. I’ve not only grown as an individual but as a woman. People are going to see that.”

When asked about the subject behind her new songs, she said that it’s reflective of her personal life.

“It’s just everything from my personal life to what I couldn’t do due to previous situations and now being free. I’ve never been freer than I am right now. It’s about everything from being a refugee, from flying in from Kosovo and living in London, having this amazing city that’s crazy and full of lights – talking about real stuff.”

“I’ve been in a whirlwind but I’ve honestly been living my dream,” she added. “I was living in New York for three months filming America’s Next Top Model, now I’m in London for two months recording every day with my dream team. Then I fly to L.A. in October to finish the album.”

Don’t expect Ora to sing about her love life. She’s often tight-lipped about her high-profile relationships, especially in interviews. Ora has been linked to Justin Bieber, Formula One race car driver Lewis Hamilton, and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. She was photographed leaving Martin’s hotel over the summer, igniting the romance rumors.

Speaking on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, Ora said she had to “rescue” Martin after security didn’t recognize him on his own tour back in 2012.

“I remember, they didn’t let him in to catering because he didn’t have his own pass. And instead of him saying, ‘Do you know that this is me? This is who I am,’ he said, ‘Rita has got her pass – can I get in with her? It’s funny because it’s Chris and there’s whole s***…but that’s why we love him and the boys. I thought it was a joke. But no, they’re the best boys they’re the most humble human beings.”
