‘Below Deck’ Star Captain Lee Gives An Update On Kate Chastain Domestic Violence Case

Below Deck’s Captain Lee is standing by his chief stew Kate Chastain as he gives an update on her domestic violence case. It looks like Kate’s lesbian relationship with Rocio Hernandez did not last very long, as the former is taking the Bravo star to court in November.

Captain Lee Rosbach sat down with Radar Online to reveal that he was not that concerned for Kate in regard to her ex-girlfriend Rocio Hernandez’s domestic violence case against her.

“I didn’t put that much thought into it. I have a lot of faith in Kate and I think the truth will come out.”

The Bravo star admitted that he kept in touch with Kate since the latest season of Below Deck ended.

Despite a brief appearance on an episode of Below Deck, Captain Lee said he did not really get a chance to know Rocio “Ro” Hernandez.

“I didn’t really get to know her. So I didn’t form an opinion one way or the other. It takes more than just saying ‘hi’ and a brief encounter for me to form an opinion on someone.”

Kate Chastain, 33, is set to face Hernandez in court in early November. The Bravo star was charged with battery by strangulation and domestic violence by the Melbourne Beach police department over the summer.

According to the police report acquired by Radar Online, Hernandez stated that Chastain came home from a bar intoxicated and began to verbally abuse her until the fight became physical.

“She [Hernandez] stated that she arrived home from work at 0130 hours and approximately fifteen minutes later Ms. Chastain arrived home from a bar and was intoxicated.

“Ms. Chastain then started to verbally abuse Ms. Hernandez to get her to fight. Ms. Chastain went into a fit of rage and physically attacked Ms. Hernandez and tried to steal her phone.”

The report detailed the injuries that Hernandez alleged she got from Chastain.

“During the altercation Ms. Hernandez received the following injuries: She was bitten on the forearm, inner bicep, and leg. She was also held down and ‘strangled.’ Ms. Hernandez also advised that she felt her airway close during the incident.”

Chief stew Kate is facing some serious allegations against her.

Hernandez stated that following the fight, Kate demanded she packed up all of her things and got out of her apartment. Rocio noted that that was the third time that month that she had been kicked out.

Last month, Kate appeared on an episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live when a viewer called in and asked for an update on Kate’s legal drama.

“As much as I would love to speak about this and I’ve wanted to for a while, I’ve been advised not to cause it’s still pending, but I’ll just say that I have dangerously bad taste in romantic partners but luckily I have impeccable taste in attorneys.”

Captain Lee seems pretty certain he will be getting his chief stew back for the next yacht charter. Hopefully, the truth will come out during her court appearance in November.

Captain Lee tweeted to his followers that he will be on WWHL with Kate next week, on November 1.
