Really if you watched when they got the dogs you could clearly see she didn't want them.Then made up some excuse to get rid of them for a while. She only took them back so she didn't look like a complete bitch for taking the dogs away from the kids in the first place.

This isn't news to me. I remember once reading something about her being cruel to the dogs (I thought they had 2..). The kids thing I'm sure is true too, because I remember seeing a picture of Kate hitting Leah… poor kids. Going to need a lot of therapy as they get older.

How about this: Put Kate + 8 and Octomom and family together. They can live in a warehouse or airplane hanger and they get a greyhound bus to travel in. Tell me there wouldn't be hours of hijinx! It's like Snooki & JWoww plus kids!

She has always seemed rather cold to me, and yes she was very demanding and nitpicky with Jon, but truly, did any of us ever see what really what on behind closed doors…..no….we saw what was happening as they were being filmed. Then someone comes out and wants to make a few bucks with a tell all book, so unusual! She had 8 kids to raise, Jon seemed a little too laid back, she seems very type A, it was doomed for disaster before the show, let alone after their fame hit. Was she cruel to her animals, if you believe everything you read, which I don't, then yes, she was. It must be true because some backstabber decides to make a few bucks revealing stories about his experience. It's all B.S. if you ask me.

I saw those episodes and cringed when they decided to get German Shepherds, one of my favorite breeds. She said she didn't want any pets and they should have found something a little more in line with what she could/would be able to take care of. Content or no, both the producers and both Gosselins bear the responibility. Not only did they do a disservice to the animals, but also to the children, which could have been a great learning, loving and bonding experience for the rest of their lives.

Really are all of you people so mindless and gullible that you believe some unknown idiots made up garbage because he has decided to make some money with a bogus tell all book? IF the allegations were true and he in fact had "PROOF" than he would not have had his book pulled from distribution and now faces a lawsuit as does the publisher for liable and defamation. Do you really believe that Kate would document abusing both her children and their pets in journals? Abusers don't believe they are abusers and they never journal about abusing. And exactly how did this person who has NEVER met this family get his hands on these so called Journals? And, don't you think that Jon as big a POS as he is wouldn't have taken those journals for himself to publish and make money since he is now broke and not even paying child support? Was she stern and often cruel to Jon? YES perhaps she got tired of raising 8 kids with a douche like him who didn't care about his kids, was a cheater, a liar and lazy! Maybe she got tired of there being 9 kids in the house instead of 8 kids and 2 adults. She is a RN do you think she can make enough money as the sole provider as a nurse? How much do you think child care would cost for 8 kids? She basically has no choice but to try to make money in the media in some fashion. Nursing pays well but not that well and Jon has never paid child support. They divorced when the sextuplets were 5. They are 8 now. 3 years and all Jon did was party away his money and now he is broke and still lazy! I think she came across as a terrible person on the show but I will NOT judge her as all of you on here seem to think you can because I am not walking in her shoes. Maybe before you start spouting off about others you should take a look at your own life and think….. what might someone say about me if it meant they could make some quick cash? And then what would total stranger who don't know me say?

Never watched the reality show, but anyone who abuses animals oughta be given the same treatment. What I have seen of her though is the very epitome of a total bitch.

I absolutely believe she abused her kids and their pets. I once saw a video, where her kids were crying that they were thirsty…she kept telling them to "shut up" a few minutes later SHE asked for a bottle of water…she drank it and put it away….never giving any to her children(who then cried "you are so mean"), before I saw that video I didn't like her…after the video I loathed her…what kind of mother treats her children this way…just another media whore!

I fyou watched the show you could tell she didn't want the dogs, they were a big pain in the rear to her. I couldn't figure out why they got them, but now it makes sense –anything for ratings! She's a pig!

One had to watch the old series to know what a pain in the neck she is. She verbally abused her husband, bossed him around, wouldn't let him play with the children (play was something Jon thought important) yelled at him in a store. She was very controlling. Ugh she was awful.

yes she is a media whore, but come on, the only thing she hasn't been accused of is worshipping Satan. She is a control freak, yeah she probably left them in the kennel, but the kennel was not a cage, it was a large fenced in area of the back yard. We had a backyard dog when I was a kid, everyone did. They never came in the house but we were not abusing them. As for hitting the kids, I saw one picture of her swatting her kids behind and suddenly she is Hannibal Lecter? I am not a fan, she is WAAAAAAAYYYY too high strung and nuts for my taste, but no one knows her, I would be surprised if anyone here had 8 little kids at once, and we sit and judge based on a TV show and tabloid reports…..really? OH, and BTW, Jon was a manipulative, passive aggressive child. He knew just how to bring out the worst of her on TV and he did, then he sat around and played the victim until he thought he could ride the gravy train to greener pastures. Then he just left and complains he cannot pay child support because he is only a cable guy. Not exactly a stand up guy. Louella..you sure sound like you PERSONALLY KNOW this woman, which I am sure you don't but if she will talk to her husband and children in front of the cameras….heaven help them when she doesn't HAVE to play nice with them. and she has a couple of daughters from the looks of it that are taking right after her. I don't think the interviews with her former co workers would trash her if some of what we read is not a tiny bit true. if its true then it cant be wrong, there is nothing that I am "putting her through" like she would care. I got a copy of the book before it was pulled…..this Robert Hoffman guy may be a little unethical for how he got his information off of her computer drive that she threw out in the TRASH (DUH!), but you cannot make up the stuff that is in there. I wouldn't even call it a book because there is very little of his writing. It is a bunch of e-mails and contracts with his own observations scattered around. He used to follow her for years for US Magazine. Absolutely scandalous!

Kate Gosselin is such a horrid human being! I can read people VERY WELL-(not in the carnival like way Thersa Caputo does either)- so long before Kates divorce with Jon and the end of their show, I watched a bit of it where they were sitting on the couch together commenting on various things that went on in the episode. All Kate did was scowl, nag and pick at Jon in a very HATEFUL manne! Kate emotionally and sadistically drove Jon out of that marriage (she hit him while they were together) but yet it's always the guys fault? KG thinks she is something special, deserving tv appearances (she has the personality of a wet dish rag!) and a bodyguard? Give me a friggin break!@ Who is paying for all this? Jon, regardless of his "affairs," loves his children much more than she does-it's all about her-she needs help from a therapist. Kate is a self-absorbed, narcissistic. detached creature. Andy Cohen and "Watch What Happens Live!" rock but why promote this desperate "has been" by having her on the show with Morgan Fairchild (Morgan was probably like "WTF?" LOL) Kate was probably on her knees (hmmnnn…) begging for a job anyplace she could get it. She's turly disgracefu with a capital "D" and I feel very sad for her children.

Jon did he worked a job like most people do to support his famliy.It was not till the show was on for 3 or 4 seasons that he quit his job.I think Jon was with-in his rights when he went a little nuts & had his affairs.The man got no credit for anything.Most men would have been overwelmed with that many kids but he stuck it out even tho he went to work only to come home & be bitched at & told to do this & that.He worked 8 10 hrs a day & worked another 4-5 while Kate sat on her a$$ barking orders.I'm not saying she didn't work she did taking care of the kids is hard work but ever since the kids were born they always had people there to help Kate.ALWAYS! So that was not fair to Jon.They both together should have done it.She was not a over worked housewife that TLC wanted people to think.

Newsflash kind at heart, this guy was personal friends with Jon Gosselin, lived in the same town and followed Kate and her family for years as a paparazzi. His wife wrote for the local town paper and he worked for US Magazine. Kate knows exactly who he is. If you read the book you will see that it is not made up. The info was pulled from the hard drives that Kate stupidly disposed of in the trash….really? She actually does journal about roughing up her kids….she is not a smart woman….

Yeah your right,but I think I read some where that the show was cancelled shortly after the bus/camping trip because (including Steve) refused to work with her anymore cause she was such a bitch.I could be wrong but I don't think Steve ever went back to work for her again.If you know something differant let me know.

It's definitely possible that if she beat her kids, she also abused the pets. That usually goes hand in hand. However, Jon is just as bad if he let it happen. The response to seeing atrocities in the house would have been to divorce, take custody of the children, and call the ASPCA to get help for the animals, not to cheat and run off, leaving his own children to be beaten and the animals abused. That's what smells off about this whole thing. If the allegations are true, Jon is just as bad as Kate for letting it happen, like Mike McQueary is for watching Sandusky rape a boy in front of him and doing nothing but slink off.

How is spanking a child with a spoon beating them? How is smacking a dog on its head and yelling at it abuse? This is another non story. There is no proof of abuse. No marks, bruises, or blood. That show was garbage T.V. with the dysfunction it displayed. It seems that all of these obnoxious reality shows and the 'stars' in them (legends in their own minds?) let it all hang out with atrocious behavior. Just because they think they're 'special' because they have a show doesn't make them model examples of goodness and virtue. In fact, they're poor examples of humanity. People 'eat it up' with the impressionable and simpleminded emulating it in real life. Yelling in a store at any one? NO CLASS & TASTELESS. Learn some manners!!! Besides, if you have 8 kids you have to keep them in order, or they will take control.
