Terrell Owens Begs Jets For Job Via Twitter

The New York Jets could use a veteran deep ball threat and recently unemployed Terrell Owens thinks that he’s the guy to fill the spot.

After the Jets’ national TV loss last night Owens took to Twitter to apply for a job.

Owens wrote: “Hey JETS!!! I’m available! I’m ready, willing & able! Call my agent @jordanwoy & let’s make it happen.”

The Chicago Tribune reports that the Jets may be in the market for a wide receiver. Santonio Holmes is likely out for the rest of the season and the rest of the squad dropped several passes last night from Mark Sanchez. Owens was one of the best receivers of all-time but he’s lost a step or two in recent years. Owens was recently cut from the Seattle Seahawks and is currently looking for a new team.

But Coach Rex Ryan may be willing to give Owens a shot. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York, Ryan said that they would “look at all options” when it comes to receivers. When asked about Terrell Owens, Ryan said: “you never say never.”

NFL.com reports, however, that the Jets have “no interest” in signing T.O.

What do you think? Would Terrell Owens compliment Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow?
