Kristen Stewart Talks New ‘Twilight’ With Robert Pattinson, Sexuality And Nudity

Kristen Stewart recently talked about the possibility of a new Twilight movie with Robert Pattinson, her sexuality and why it is completely fine to go nude on screen.

Stewart’s take on the possibility of a new Twilight film with Pattinson

Earlier in September, Peter Wachsberger, co-chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group talked about the possibility of a new Twilight film. During his interview with Screen Daily, Wachsberger stated that there is indeed a possibility of a new Twilight-related film, but everything depends on Stephenie Meyer.

“If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we’re here for her,” he further added.

Ever since then, fans have been hoping for good news from either the production house or from the Twilight alums. In an earlier interview with Uproxx, Personal Shopper star Kristen Stewart talked about her take on a possible reunion with Robert Pattinson or starring in another Twilight movie.

“I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation. Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It’s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people wanted to? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you, I would be interested. I’d be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn’t emotionally affect me one way or the other.”

There is no official confirmation from any representatives about a new Twilight movie, but based on the actress’ interview, it looks like she is open to all the ideas.

Stewart’s philosophical approach towards her sexuality

Many of Kristen’s fan are unaware that before falling heads over heels for Robert, she was in a serious relationship with her 2004 film Speak’s co-star Michael Angarano. However, when she met Robert on the set of Twilight back in 2008, she realized that he was the one for her.

The duo remained out of public eye and chose not to disclose their relationship with their fans and media. However, paparazzi photos and several eyewitness accounts drove intense media attention.

The couple dated for a couple of years, but when Robert found out about her infidelity, he decided to walk away from her.

In 2016, French musician and actress SoKo officially confirmed that she was in a relationship with Stewart. However, they parted ways on May 5, 2016. After ending her relationship with SoKo, the American Ultra actress found solace in Alicia Cargile’s companionship.

Many have always wondered why there is a shift in her sexuality. Well, the rebellious actress has an answer for that as well.

During her earlier interview with Nylon, she stated that she feels very reluctant when someone labels her according to her personal sexual preferences.

“If you feel like you really want to define yourself, and you have the ability to articulate those parameters and that in itself defines you, then do it. But I am an actress, man. I live in the f*****g ambiguity of this life and I love it.”

Kristen further added that she is very much open about her sexual orientation because now she has realized that this is the only possible way of living that makes her happy.

“I don’t feel like it would be true for me to be like, ‘I’m coming out!’ No, I do a job. Until I decide that I’m starting a foundation or that I have some perspective or opinion that other people should be receiving… I don’t. I’m just a kid making movies.”

Why is nudity a big deal in American film industry?

Twilight fans were amazed when they saw Kristen going topless in On The Road. Her latest film, Personal Shopper, has shown her completely naked and apparently, she didn’t feel weird about it.

The 26-year-old star recently opened about her nude scenes during an interview with W Magazine. In her interview, she revealed that she was not tensed when she had to take her clothes off in front of the camera.

According to Kristen, director Olivier Assayas‘ nonchalant attitude about the nudity helped her in filming racy scenes.

“I wasn’t apprehensive. I feel super great with director Olivier [Assayas], as well. The scenes in which I don’t have clothes on or the scenes that seem ‘risqué’ from an outsider’s perspective, there was no acknowledgment on his part.”

Having said that, it does not mean that she will go nude in every film. For her, the gravity of the project matters the most and she should be very clear on the fact that the nude scenes will leave a long-lasting impact on the viewers.

“I still want women’s bodies and the way they want to reveal them, it should be a precious thing, I don’t want to de-sexualize it in some way.”

Kristen Stewart’s Personal Shopper is slated to release on Oct. 19.
